Went to RRR Breakfasters OB today.

Movie reviewer did "Top 5 films you should have seen this year" Serenity was number five. I cheered, and was acknowledged on-air for it.

Between the talking, I was reading Njal's Saga (thanks, Kat - it was a good read). Breakfasters asked me on-air what I was reading, so it got mentioned out on-air. During the rest of the show, they asked me what page I was up to. Essentially, I inadvertently advertised literature that was not sci-fi/fantasy to a lot of people. *Is pleased*

Seriously, go and read it. Not the nicest of books, and I suspect that lots of the story is missing in the translation (It is originally an epic Icelandic poem), but it is still good.

Gadflys will be on the 28th of February in Adelaide. This will be
performed in the Regal in the Garden of Unearthly Delights at 6.00pm

There will be no Harbor Cruise on the 21st of March, and of course,

Haggis' Log: Last entry. In a deliberate parallel type thing, I watched the final episode of DS9 tonight as well. That is what I would like my final entry to be like. Instead you get rambling crap.

I am no longer in the mood for this stuff - it takes too long. Today I did some more work, and will do more tomorrow or Sunday.

Hehehehehe!!!! I found a Gaelic/English website. Cannae stop the Scottish stuff now. This is my second last entry. Wow, I've done nearly a weeks worth of this pointless rambling crap, and I'm getting assessed on it, too.

Business - today I finished one case study, but am now stumped as to what I have to write for MWR1. I've got 200 odd words to go, but have no idea how to do the last bit. This is what happens when your monitor blows up a week before TAFE finishes for the term. You get to be frustrated at a piece of paper that is making you think. That was about 20 min. of actual work, followed by 15 min. of not playing games on the computer, but trying to think about how to do the action plan required. Then I decided to play some more of Rebellion, do this and go to bed.

I did about 4.5 hours of work at work today. Teacher Reference is now more accessible, and the folders/kits that I am unsure as to their state of cataloguing are easily accessible.

Listened to Merril Bainbridge today - I do that every holiday on one day that I am at work, and naturally, The Dandy Warhols, Even and Rebecca's Empire. These bands make my world go round.

David came in to do to his classroom what I am doing to the entire library, and I helped him out a bit. I've gotta get another cryptic phrase for use this term. "Go You Big Red Fire Engine" I finally relented on, and informed the staff what it means at the end-of-term party. They think it will be funny when they use it around the kids, and when the kids use it around them.

That made no sense, unless you are me, so please ignore it. I wanna mike cable!!! Hahahahaha!!! Music!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to do something, but I do not know what it is. Need to see live music. Wednesday is not close enough. I just remembered I better generate my timetable for this term at work for Les, otherwise no-one will know when I am supposed to be there (no-one ever does anway, even me).

Need to see Kel, Sam or even Adele right now. Need talking to friend type person. Not binary machine incapable of basic emotional interaction.

Angel and Buffy were grouseness. Looking forward to next weeks episodes.

Today, I have successfully managed to complete two thirds of both case studies I have to hand in, in about an hour. I have also cooked fried rice that I ate for dinner tonight. I am always listening to music, except for when I am: 1. In a meeting, 2. Out of my office, or 3. Am in class. In those situations, I am generally tapping some part of my body to a beat, or humming/whistling/mumbling a song!

After doing the case study work, I felt a bit drained, so I had what was going to be a lie-down, but instead turned into a 2.5 hour sleep. I also watched some DS9 today because I needed to see Worf be cool.

Rosie is e-mailing me right now, and I should be checking my other accounts, too.

Today I just seem to have distracted myself form the world, and as a consequence am a lot happier. Knowing my luck, on Monday someone from my past with a perceived grievance against me will pop up and confront me inappropriately.

Seems like Robert has forgotten all about his promise that we will do something together these holidays, even if it is just go and grab lunch together. Mind you, this is the man that still has not given me my 21st present, even though he claimed he had it ready two days after the event. He is also the man that was having a shot at me because he can not explain to the guys why I let my birthday slip by with nary a whisper.

Today, I am going to work, paying off the balance for my Star Trek convention, evaluating Britannica 2000 on CD, and finishing tidying up/reorganising the Teacher Reference section.

Continuing with my desire to include Scottish words in my subject line, I've just ripped off some stuff from Billy Connolly.

I've done 4 assessment tasks today, and felt really great about it earlier, but now I feel nothing. At least I've been sleeping less over the past few days.

Apart from that, the main highlight of today was having crumpets with jam on one and vegimite on the other, and both with melted cheese. While watching Monty Python's Life of Brian.

In computer related news, I have successfully changed my into and exit sounds for Windows. Now when I log in to the computer, Mikey and Paul are talking about who they find funniest. when I shut it down, I hear Paul begging Mikey to make it stop.

Dad said that he heard on the radio today that Rebecca's Empire are reforming for a gig. I sincerely doubt that, becuase he is going deaf. That, and I doubt they would go back on their word unless it was for something so tremendously important to them personally (not for money). I'm going to see Shane and Rebecca in a few weeks time at the Corner. I need to see Australian music again. Where have The Casuals gone? I really liked seeing them. Also need to find Bill. Need him to sign a few things.

I'm cooking some food tomorrow and will pretty much have the house to myself, so I can work in peace. Thursday and Friday I'll be at work, getting the place ready for next term. No computers, but. Those can bugger off. I've been very anti-computer at work recently, and have started referring to them as magic boxes. It is better than trying to explain what I am doing to the staff. Even the IT co-ordinator does not understand me.

Bored now and really annoyed at having to do this, so I am stopping.

Good day today. I have more than half finished one assessment task, and it looks like I'll be able to finish the most urgent by the end of the week.

I bought my ticket to see Alex Lloyd at Bourboun Street on Wednesday week, and am also booked into a talk about the big bad D on Monday. Hey, cool, I just noticed that the clock above this is on 24 hour time! I just like 24 hour time, is all.

I did an hour of shelving at work, even though I am on holidays, and have decided to reorganise one section of the library this week. It will make my job easier, and access to the books should also be easier.

I also bought "Words and Music" by Paul Kelly. I got it because it has Rebecca Barnard doing a duet with him, but it has a whole heap more on it! First of all, it is basically Paul's current outfit (Professor Ratbaggy), but with the addition of Shane O'Mara (lead guitarist of the late Rebecca's Empire) and Spencer P. Jones (great musician). I also got Even's second album. I cannot for the life of me remember what it is called, and if Cherie from DR2 finds out, i will be in trouble for not remembering it. It is great. I really like track 5. cool thing about the album is that Tony Lash plays keyboards on it, and he did aditional keyboards, recorded and produced The Dandy Warhols 2nd album!!!!! The world of music - so interconnected, I love it!!!

I've been feeling really depressed lately, probably because I've decided to no longer associate with Reality Check or any of its members. Nothing like being screwed over by someone that you trusted and actually wanted to help. I'm sure Kate would say it different, but I'm not giving her the option or chance. I also miss Kelly. She's probably my closest friend, and she is OS (has been for about a month now). Me being the good friend that I am got the date mixed up for when she departed and thought I had an extra month. She willnae be back (damn, I must be tired, I'm now typing Scottish) until mid-January at the earliest.

The Louisville Sluggers should be making some kind of noise soon, they said that their first album will be coming out in the next couple of months.

I have found that when I am at work, it is a good thing to keep to a strict timetable, but when I am doing my homework, unless it is urgent, to just let things flow. Just as long as I do some of it, things will be OK. I wish I could communicate this to myself about 2 years ago. I just realised it still would not make a difference, because I was so sure of my ability to do anything academic easily, and was used to being pushed to work. It took me failing some subjects at uni to decide I better go back and, well, do some work. Make an academic achievement.

Tomorrow I'll finish my Basic Reference Services competencies, and probably my Managing Effective Working Relations case study. I'll also have to ask Leonie if I can make my presentation to the class, seeing as I kind of did not turn up to the last class to make it.

I keep on sleeping too much, and daydreaming at levels I never knew existed currently, but still have no actual sleep based dreams.

Finished "The Valiant" today - it was all a little bit too neat. The Star Trek writers are getting complacent and lazy. "Prince of Dogs" is heaps better, more convoluted, better character depth, and more realistic.

Well, today I started to do some more Research 3 catch up work, and then stopped because I had to go to the library and use the resources there. Unfortunately, it does not open until 2pm, and by then, I'd had lunch and then started doing other things, such as working on Haggis Central.

Last night I did not dream. I never remember them, so there. You will get that as part of all my journal entries, because we also have to record a "dream diary" but can incorporate it into this little missive.

Today is the last day of Laugh Radio's test broadcast. I really like this station, namely because it will be hard for it to stray from it's core basis for existence. Triple J is drifting off into commercial acceptibility, which annoys me because for years it has been a great alternative station without being heavy with specialty shows like the community radio stations. It also leaves me feeling kind of bad because, well, I do have a small reputation to guard there (I really have not been bothered in the past few months), and I know some of the people there. They are really nice to me and some of them have gone far beyond the call of duty in helping me in some rather unusual aspirations.

I've continued reading the Kate Elliot book, but then stopped to read "The Valiant" by Michael Friedman. I'm burning through it. It's OK, but has the usual problem with all Star Trek novels - they try too hard to link everything together, which makes the novels a little too unreal. There also seems to be no underpinning structure for the novels, as opposed to the Star Wars ones that have clearly defined boundaries and are very cohesive.

Danny Kaye!!!! He's on the radio right now. I used to love listening to him when I was a kid, and watching his films. I still have a copy of "The Court Jester" floating around in my room somewhere.

Today has been my free day, where I just do whtever I feel is necessary, while tomorrow I actually will finish two more assessment pieces, and buy some more lancets and a ticket for Alex Lloyd at Bourboun Street. If I get the time, I will also get into work and try to do some shelving or finish cleaning my workspace. Either way, I have a week to get both of those tasks finished.

I've got to stay awake until 11:30 at the earliest, because they will play the Welly Boot Song for me on Laugh Radio. I requested it under my real name. Next time they have a test broadcast, I will subscribe as a Lord of Laughter. Then I can be Lord Haggis, which will be good. They also played Broad Lick Nic for me, and it was the ICON version!

I'm off now. Bugger staying awake. I'm tired and have to be up and about tomorrow.
